Q: After my flight lands how do I check in ?
A: After disembarkation, present yourself to our handling agent holding a Bequia Air / Bequia Flights sign prior to the immigration hall. Do not pass through Barbados immigration as you are connecting airside

Q: What is the latest time my international flight can land to connect with Bequia Air ?
A: We recommend when booking your international flight a minimum connection time of 50mins (based on scheduled landing time) prior to the departure from Barbados & St.Lucia, do bear in mind that delays may occur, we do recommend to request cabin crew if you are able to disembark first in Barbados.

Q: Which flights do you connect with ?
A: Bequia Flights’ (Air) schedule coincides with international carrier timetables to ensure the best connection to Bequia. Our regular departure times are 17:00 from Barbados to allow absorption of potential delays & ample time for passengers to connect. Please see our VIP Transfer charter schedule for up to date departure times which may vary.

Q: Are only Bequia Beach Hotel Guests allowed to book?
A: We are pleased to welcome all passenger bookings subject to availability. The VIP Transfer shuttle charter service is supported by Bequia Beach Hotel and the preferred method of travel for their guests

Q: How long is the flight ?

A: Barbados to Bequia 30 mins, St. Lucia to Bequia 15mins. Please note there is no lavatory onboard.

Q: My return flight from St.Lucia / Barbados departs earlier than your stated departure from Bequia
A: Please contact us, and we will advise whether a departure time can be amended earlier

Q: Can you land in Bequia after sunset ?
A: Unfortunately no, flights to Bequia operate only during the daytime (sunrise to sunset). There are no functioning landing lights.

Q: What happens if my flight lands too late to make the connection ?
A: Our personnel monitor all inbound passengers’ flight connections to ensure they are on time. Minor delays can be accommodated however severe delays will typically require the passenger to overnight in such event and travel the next day. Each event or scenario will be handled on a case by case basis

Q: What happens if Bequia Air cannot land in Bequia ?
A: Safety is our primary concern and the flight crew has absolute discretion whether to divert to St. Vincent. In the rare event of this, back up plans are in place and passengers will be accommodated at Grenadine House in Kingstown and take the ferry to Bequia the next day.

Q: Why do you recommend packing overnight essentials (e.g. medicine, change of clothes) in hand luggage ?
A: If your luggage does not make it with your flight to Bequia, we recommend packing necessary sundry items, medication etc. in your hand luggage. Our experienced ground staff in Barbados will endeavour to ensure your luggage is located and loaded on the flight to Bequia. (In St. Lucia passengers collect their checked in luggage themselves)

Q: Do you take Pets onboard
A: For safety reasons, we do not accept pets onboard.

Q: My child is two years old, do I need a seat for him/her?
A: Yes.

An infant is considered to be a person who has not reached his/her second birthday at the return of his/her journey. The infant fare class will apply. The infant does not have his/her own seat and travels on the lap of the accompanying person.

If the child’s second birthday is reached during the trip, the child fare will apply to the journey concerned. An individual seat must be purchased for the child.

Q: What happens if the aircraft goes tech ?
A: If the Aircraft shall for any reason whatsoever (whether before or after commencement of the flight) become incapable of undertaking or continuing the flight (or any portion thereof), the Carrier may, at its discretion, substitute therefore an aircraft of the same or another type if available and the provisions of this Agreement shall apply to the substituted aircraft.

Q: I need wheelchair assistance
A: To be able to your support and facilitate your trip, it is essential that you contact us with your request for assistance at the time of booking your tickets and / or at least 72 hours before your departure.

Q: Do you accept group bookings ?
A: Yes, please contact us directly with your requirements. Please note the King Air aircraft has 9 seats, larger groups may need to split or charter privately which we can assist with.

Q: Are taxes included ?
A: Quoted fares are inclusive of taxes and surcharges. Government Departure Tax payable at Bequia Airport is not included.

Q: I need to cancel my booking, can I get a refund ?
A: Please see our payment, change and cancellation terms;

Full payment required and debited at time of booking. ‘Cooling off’ period of 24 hours from the time of booking. Written cancellation by email, the following penalty charges will apply; after 24 hours from booking and within 100 days of travel cancellation fee 30% of total cost of booking, within 99 days of travel cancellation fee 50% total cost of Transfer, within 60 days of travel 60% total cost of Transfer, within 45 days of travel 100% cost of Transfer. Non-refundable and non-changeable periods: 20 December – 5 January inclusive. VIP Transfer flights non-refundable once travel commences.

Change fee of USD 50.00 per person per sector. Bookings non-changeable within 30 days of travel and 20 December – 5 January. 100% penalty applies if booking is changed to future date and then cancelled within 200 days.

We recommend to take out an insurance against the possibility of cancellation fees, delays due to missed connections or late arrival of international carriers resulting in incurred costs such as accommodation, transport etc.

> Travel Documents

Prior to your departure, we recommend that you check the entry and travel requirements for your destination country/countries by contacting the proper embassies or consulates. Ensure you have all required documents with you during travel that you may require:
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months from the date of your planned return)
- Proof of Covid 19 vaccination status if relevant

- Identity card, Residence card, Visa, etc.

Please note that some countries (USA, Canada) require some special formalities:
- A valid passport several months after the expected date of return.
- A return ticket or continuity.
- Obtaining an electronic travel authorization (ESTA).

It is your own responsibility to check the expiration dates of these documents as well as the required entry formalities according to your nationality for all destinations served by Bequia Air.

Entrance into St Vincent & The Grenadines
Persons from the named countries must apply to the Ministry of National Security in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, namely: Dominican Republic, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nigeria, China, Haiti and Afghanistan.

> Luggage

Our policy is to improve the service of transport and delivery of baggage to passengers. Given the size of the luggage holds of our aircraft, it is necessary to restrict the weight of luggage carried by our passengers. To avoid any inconvenience at the time of check-in, we invite you to take note of these tips to prepare your luggage.

Hand luggage: 1 handbag/laptop bag, plus 1 additional cabin bag max 7kg (15lbs)
Checked luggage: Up to 2 bags per person at maximum 20kg (44lbs) per bag.

We recommend packing essentials (e.g. medicine) in hand luggage. There are restrictions on what you may pack. You may also be charged for extra or overweight checked bags.

Passenger luggage must not contain any articles or substances that may present a danger during transport. Due to weight restrictions, excess luggage may not always travel on the same aircraft, and will follow as soon as availability permits.

For reasons of safety you must inform our ground staff the presence of any restricted items not permitted in checked baggage to keep them in the cabin. These include:

* Lithium cells or batteries,

* E-cigarettes,

* Powerbanks.

We reserve the right to refuse to carry you or your baggage if either may put the safety of the aircraft or the safety or health of any person in the aircraft in danger. Bequia Air has a policy to not carry any pets or animals onboard.

> Infants & Children

Infants: 0-24 months
An infant is considered to be a person who has not reached his second birthday at the return of his/her journey. The infant fare class will apply. The infant does not have his/her own seat and travels on the lap of the accompanying person.

The baggage allowance for infant is 10 Kg.

If the second birthday is reached during the trip, the child fare will apply to the journey concerned. An individual seat must be purchased for the child.

For the safety of your infant during the flight, our crew will provide you with a suitable and approved belt. "Baby carriers" are not allowed as a retention device during the flight. We remind you that the allocation of seats at emergency exits is not allowed to passengers with an infant.

Child: 2 to 11 years
Any child under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an independent adult of at least 18 years of age.
We do not accept unaccompanied children. We remind you that the allocation of seats at emergency exits is not allowed to children.

A minor 12 years or older will require an adult class fare.

> Passengers that may need assistance

Pregnancy

At the time of your reservation, it is important to specify if you are pregnant or a minimum of 5 days prior to travel.

Bequia Air reserves the right to deny boarding for your and your baby’s safety, and we advise you not to fly after:

  • the end of the 36th week if you are pregnant with one baby

  • the end of the 32nd week if you are pregnant with more than one baby.

We recommend you carry a letter or statement from your Doctor or Midwife confirming:

  • Whether your pregnancy is single or multiple.

  • Your expected due date.

  • There are no complications with your pregnancy.

The letter should be dated as close to your travel date as possible and covers you for your entire journey (outbound and return), provided you do not require any medical care during your trip.

We remind you that the allocation of seats located at emergency exits is not allowed to pregnant women.

Passenger with disabilities

To be able to support and facilitate your trip, it is essential that you make your request for assistance at the time of booking your tickets and / or at least 72 hours before your departure.

Some specific assistance (transport of personal wheelchair) require a prior request from our booking service by email to ops@bequiaair.com specifying the nature of the assistance needed. You will then be contacted as soon as possible to finalize your travel booking.

We remind you that the allocation of seats at emergency exits is not allowed to persons with disabilities.


Respiratory difficulties:
Our aircrafts are not equipped with a therapeutic oxygen distribution system, we recommend that you bring your personal breathing apparatus as well as the spare batteries in the cabin for your trip. Only approved oxygen concentrators are allowed on board and may be used during flight if needed. Please contact us in advance to obtain our agreement and consult the list of approved oxygen concentrators.

Accompanying person and medical clearance

Certain pathology or handicap may require the presence on board of a companion. An accompanying person is considered to be a third party capable of assisting the passenger with a permanent or temporary disability under his care or with medical personnel. He must be physically able to move them.

Passenger with a heavy handicap:
For safety reasons, we ask for an able accompanying person when the passenger suffers from a severe motor handicap related to a permanent or temporary reduced mobility or intellectual disability and is not able to move, understand or apply the safety instructions.

> Comfort & Safety onboard

We look forward to welcoming you onboard Bequia Air, our King Air aircraft seats up to 9 passengers.

We kindly inform you that our aircraft does not have lavatory on board.

Having no cabin crew, we would like to inform you of our basic rules for your safety and comfort during the flight. Our flight crew will take care of reminding you the safety instructions at the time of your boarding.

For your comfort:
We remind you that is a non-smoking flight and the use of electronic cigarettes is not allowed on board.

The use of electronic devices during flight may cause interference with aircraft equipment. We kindly ask you to turn them off before take-off or use them in airplane mode only during the flight.

Your largest cabin baggage must be stored at the back of the cabin in the dedicated area. Your small luggage such as purse, laptop bag should be stored in a way that does not impede the aisle and the emergency exits.

For your safety:
When you board the aircraft, your seat belt should be fastened once the door closes and before take-off and remained fastened during the entire flight until the arrival at the parking spot and engines are switched off.

The emergency exits are located at the front and at the rear of the cabin with the life raft.
Lifejackets are located in the pocket in front of you or under your seat.

As the aircraft has an open cabin, it is strictly prohibited to disturb the flight crew during critical phases of the flight (take off & landing), if you have an emergency or detect one, please alert the flight crew in a safe manner.

A safety notice is available in the pocket in front of your seat. We kindly ask you to read it carefully to be aware of our safety procedures and the aircraft evacuation process.

> Transit / check-in process at Barbados (BGI)

Barbados In-transit process:

  • After disembarkation, present yourself to our handling agent holding a Bequia Air sign prior to the immigration hall.

  • Do Not pass through regular Barbados immigration

  • You will be escorted to connections, checked-in and asked for a description of your checked-in luggage & the receipts, our ground staff will then take care of this.

  • After receiving your boarding pass, pass through a security checkpoint and make your way straight to the designated gate for departure to Bequia

  • Kindly mark luggage with a coloured ribbon to assist identification by Ground Handlers, we also recommend taking a photo with your smartphone prior to your international flight check-in to show ground staff.

Barbados on-island check-in:

  • Check-in open 2hrs before departure, passengers to report to check-in counter latest 1hr 30m prior to departure.

  • Check in at the Executive Air desk, located across from the Republic Bank in the main departure concourse.

> Transit / check-in process at St. Lucia (UVF)

St. Lucia In-transit process:

  • After disembarkation, present yourself to our handling agent holding a Bequia Air sign prior to the immigration hall.

  • You will be escorted through a VIP channel to complete immigration

  • Identify and collect your checked luggage on the carousel for check in to Bequia Air

  • St Lucia is a pre-clearance hub for St Vincent & The Grenadines, which means that each passenger may clear immigration and customs for Bequia whilst still in St Lucia.

St. Lucia on-island check-in:

  • Check-in open 2hrs before departure, passengers to report to check-in counter latest 1hr 30m prior to departure.

  • Check in at the Harris Handling desk, next to Jet Blue in the main terminal, they will assist you

Bequia Airport Check-in:

  • Arrive to check-in latest 1 hour prior to departure at Bequia airport

Bequia Beach Hotel Guests:

  • Please ensure hotel checkout is done at least 2 hours prior to shuttle departure.

  • Guest-only shuttle departs Bequia Beach Hotel latest 1 hour prior to flight departure
