Bequia Flights (Bequia Air) ‘VIP Transfer’ Terms of Service

Quoted times serve only as a guide and quoted fares may be subject to changes at any time.

Please note that the above mentioned fares are inclusive of taxes and surcharges. Bequia Departure Tax is not included.

Bequia Air’s VIP Transfer package is a guest-only on demand service transporting persons to/from Barbados/St. Lucia airport to/from Bequia including meet & greet services and ground transfers (in Bequia) subject to accommodation. Private flights on demand can be arranged on request.

Luggage allowances:

Hand luggage: 1 handbag/laptop bag, plus 1 additional cabin bag max 7kg (13lbs)
Checked luggage: Up to 2 bags per person at maximum 20kg (44lbs) per bag.

We recommend packing essentials (e.g. medicine) in hand luggage. There are restrictions on what you may pack. You may also be charged for extra or overweight checked bags.

Passenger luggage must not contain any articles or substances that may present a danger during transport. Due to weight restrictions, excess luggage may not always travel on the same aircraft, and will follow as soon as availability permits.

Carrier’s Discretion:

If the Aircraft shall for any reason whatsoever (whether before or after commencement of the flight) become incapable of undertaking or continuing the flight (or any portion thereof), the Carrier may, at its discretion, substitute therefore an aircraft of the same or another type and the provisions of this Agreement shall apply to the substituted aircraft.

Payment, Change & Cancellation terms:

Full payment required and debited at time of booking. ‘Cooling off’ period of 24 hours from the time of booking. Written cancellation by email, the following penalty charges will apply; after 24 hours from booking and within 100 days of travel cancellation fee 30% of total cost of booking, within 99 days of travel cancellation fee 50% total cost of Transfer, within 60 days of travel 60% total cost of Transfer, within 45 days of travel 100% cost of Transfer. Non-refundable and non-changeable periods: 20 December – 5 January inclusive. VIP Transfer flights non-refundable once travel commences.

Change fee of USD 50.00 per person per sector. Bookings non-changeable within 30 days of travel and 20 December – 5 January. 100% penalty applies if booking is changed to future date and then cancelled within 200 days.

We recommend to take out an insurance against the possibility of cancellation fees, delays due to missed connections or late arrival of international carriers resulting in incurred costs such as accommodation, transport etc.

Conditions of carriage:

When a VIP Transfer is purchased, a contract of carriage is willingly and knowingly entered into with Bequia Air. The VIP Transfer fare covers transporting you from Barbados/St. Lucia airport to Bequia, or from Bequia to St. Lucia/Barbados airport. The fare will be for travel on the specific dates and itinerary shown, departure times may vary. If you wish to change dates of travel or your itinerary this may increase the fare or void it. You must pay any taxes, fees and charges imposed on us or on you by governments or other authorities, or by operators of airports. Government departure tax from Bequia is not included in the fare and payable upon departure from Bequia to immigration officers. Taxes may be subject to change.

We reserve the right to refuse to carry you or your baggage if either may put the safety of the aircraft or the safety or health of any person in the aircraft in danger. Bequia Air has a policy to not carry any pets or animals onboard.

The passenger undertakes to check the relevant entry requirements for any country you are visiting and present to us all passports, visas, health certificates and other travel documents needed for your journey. You must obey all laws, regulations and orders of any countries you fly from, enter or travel through or in which you are a transit passenger. We will not be liable to you if: you do not have all necessary passports, visas, health certificates and other travel documents. Your passport, visa, health certificates or other travel documents are invalid or out of date or you have not obeyed all relevant laws.

Bequia Air accepts no liability for damage sustained, death or bodily injury of a passenger that may occur on board the aircraft or in the course of the operations of embarking or disembarking.

Bequia Air & it’s group partners and the aircraft operator / carrier holds no liability for damaged or lost luggage, valuables, documentation, perishables, medicines which may be lost or damaged during transit.

Carrier Discretion

In the event of non-performance or delay caused by any circumstances whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Carrier including, but not limited to, the actions of third parties, labour difficulties, force majeure (including but not limited to inclement weather) or technical breakdown or accident to the Aircraft or any part thereof or any machinery to be used in relation to the Aircraft, the Carrier shall use its reasonable endeavours to perform or continue the flight but otherwise shall have no liability to the Customer or any passengers for such non- performance or delay and any time so lost shall not count in computing demurrage unless the Aircraft is already on demurrage.

The Captain of the Aircraft (the “Captain”) shall have absolute discretion to decide what load, including the number of passengers, may safely be carried in the Aircraft on any particular flight and how such load shall be distributed, whether and when a flight may be safely undertaken and when and where the Aircraft shall be landed. All such decisions of the Captain shall be final and binding on the Customer and Carrier. The Carrier shall not be liable to the Customer for any loss, damage, costs or claims of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising as a result of any such decision by the Captain.
